NASHVILLE, Tenn. Joe Flacco Jersey . - The Cleveland Browns shook off a sluggish start with a finish for the NFL record book.Brian Hoyer threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin with 1:09 left, and the Browns rallied from a 25-point deficit to beat the Tennessee Titans 29-28 on Sunday. It was the largest comeback in league history by a road team.Only two other clubs have come back from bigger deficits in the regular season. San Francisco rallied from 28 down in beating New Orleans on Dec. 7, 1980, and Buffalo trailed 26-0 before beating Indianapolis 37-35 on Sept. 21, 1997.Every Browns game this season has been decided by three points or fewer.I did tell them after the game they got to stop doing it, first-year Cleveland coach Mike Pettine said. I have an EKG scheduled for tomorrow because my heart cant take many more of these. It also was the biggest comeback in Browns history. On Dec. 4, 1966, Cleveland trailed the Giants 34-14 and won 49-40, according to STATS.On Sunday, the Browns (2-2) won a road game for the first time since Sept. 22, 2013, at Minnesota. That looked unlikely when they fell behind 28-3 in the first half.Cleveland snapped a seven-game road losing streak by scoring 26 unanswered points, including 16 in the fourth quarter. Its just good to win, Hoyer said. I said when we broke it down, Lets just win one by two touchdowns one week and not give everybody a heart attack. Its great to always win, but to win coming back and know that you battled your butt off is a great feeling. It was the biggest regular-season lead blown by the Titans (1-4) a€” a franchise that once squandered a 35-3 advantage to Buffalo in the playoffs as the Houston Oilers.Unbelievably tough loss for us today after we played so well in the first half, Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said.Jake Locker didnt return after hurting his right thumb in the second quarter. X-rays were negative, but hell have more tests Monday. Backup Charlie Whitehurst couldnt protect the big lead.Tennessee turned the ball over on downs at the Titans 42 with 3:03 left when the Browns stopped Whitehurst on fourth down and less than a yard to go. Whitehurst said he didnt hear a whistle stopping his forward progress, and he finished by sticking the ball out. Whisenhunt also thought Whitehurst got the first down. The Titans coach said he did think about punting.I felt like with Cleveland having one timeout, we had a chance to win the game, Whisenhunt said.Hoyer finished off the comeback with his second TD to Benjamin in the quarter for Clevelands first lead. The Titans had one last chance with 1:09 left. But time expired just after Whitehurst found Kendall Wright on a pass past midfield.Hoyer finished 21 of 37 for 292 yards, and he started the Browns comeback with a 1-yard TD pass to Jim Dray just before halftime. He also connected with Benjamin on a 17-yard TD pass after Cleveland got the ball on a free kick off a safety early in the fourth quarter. Tank Carder had blocked Brett Kerns punt through the end zone. Its the fourth straight loss for the Titans, and it could be very costly with a handful of players limping off.Whisenhunt streamlined his offence in trying to jump-start his struggling team. It worked as the Titans scored on two of their first three drives.Locker was leading an 80-yard drive when cornerback Buster Skrine blitzed, hitting Locker in the head. Lockers hand hit Skrines helmet as he threw, and the quarterback immediately signalled first down before going to the sideline, then to the locker room. Two of Whitehursts first three passes went for TDs, with the second a career long of 75 yards to Justin Hunter for a 28-3 lead late in the first half. That was it for the Titans offence as the Browns cranked up their comeback.NOTES: The Browns finally had their first turnover on an interception by Titans safety Michael Griffin with 4:55 left in the fourth quarter. They were the last NFL team to turn over the ball this season. ... Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is from Knoxville, Tennessee, and his brother, Bill, is governor. ... The Titans remembered Rob Bironas with a blue No. 2 on the back of their helmets and a moment of silence in their first home game since their former kicker died Sept. 20 in a one-vehicle crash.___Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Teresa M. The first gaffe came in the 24th minute of arguably the biggest early season MLS game in history between Seattle and Toronto. Sounder newcomer Marco Pappa, (with over 100 MLS games, and 39 Guatemalan Caps to his name) attempted a back pass to one of his central defenders. http://www.officialbaltimoreravenspro.com/Jonathan-ogden-ravens-jersey/ . With the win, the Marlies complete a three-game series sweep of the Admirals and move on to the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs. T.J. Brennan added an empty netter with less than 25 seconds remaining for his second of the playoffs.TORONTO - Jose Bautista entered Wednesdays play at or near the top of most of baseballs important offensive categories. The 33-year-old is the league leader with 34 walks. His 1.058 OPS and 191 OPS+ are the best in the game. Bautistas hit nine home runs, which ties him for fourth in the majors. Hes reached base safely in each of the Blue Jays 33 games to begin the year. Thats a club record. "I think Ive had a pretty strong first month, as strong as I might have had ever in my career," Bautista told TSN.ca during a conversation in Philadelphia. "But the seasons long and its hard to look at small samples and how thats going to portray into a complete season. I try not to pay attention to those things and just focus on the preparation and the work and my effort and hopefully at the end of the year everythings taken care of itself." As teams around the league rely more heavily on spray charts and advanced offensive data, Bautista, like most sluggers around the league, often hits with three infielders on the left side of second base. The percentages show that if Bautista hits the ball on the ground, most of the time hell pull it. With that in mind, hitting coach Kevin Seitzer has encouraged Bautista to occasionally take pitches the other way. Manager John Gibbons believes the approach helps Bautista stay on breaking pitches down and away. He sees those often as opposing pitchers often work around him or, at least, are particularly careful about keeping the ball out of the middle of the strike zone. "The only difference I see with him is hes taking some hits the other way and I think its making him a tougher out," said manager John Gibbons. "You hear some people who complain about, well, hes a home run hitter, youve got to do it this way. Well, you know what? His home run numbers havent suffered one bit." Bautistas coaches and teammates took notice of his approach in the 10th inning of Tuesday nights 6-5 win over the Phillies. Melky Cabrera led off with a single. Bautista worked a 2-2 count and with the infield pulled around to the third base side he pushed a 93 miles per hour fastball through the gaping hole where the second baseman would usually stand. Cabrera advanced to third on the play and one out later scored the game-winning run on Juan Franciscos sacrifice fly. Manager John Gibbons called it "winning baseball." "Its good to see, thats what winninng players and winning teams do, the little stuff," said Jose Reyes. Baltimore Ravens Jerseys. "In that situation he didnt try to hit a two-run home run and pop it up to the infield or something. He just tried to move Melky over, he saw that huge space there at second base and he hit the ball that way, first and third and we win the game right there." Outfield coach Tim Leiper paid Bautista the ultimate praise last week, equating his pregame preparation and in-game adjustments to that of a coach. Bautista doesnt want the label but he is involved in every pitch. From the dugout hes studying the opposing pitcher, watching for tendencies that may indicate which type of pitch will be thrown. Not a base stealer himself, Bautista tries to help his faster teammates get a read on a pitchers move. Defensively, hell involve himself in outfield positioning based on his extensive knowledge of hitters. "I try to pay attention to things like that and I share all kinds of information with my teammates," said Bautista. "I also encourage them to share stuff that they know and information that they have with me. I like to listen to that kind of stuff and put it into my database, I guess." Gibbons recalls a game in Kansas City early last year when injuries to Jose Reyes and Brett Lawrie forced Bautista from his usual spot in right field and in to play third base. Bautista would frequently hover around the mound in between outs, giving the pitcher a scouting report on the next hitter. "Joses not just out there playing," said Gibbons. "He studies this and hes paying attention to whats going on. Hes played against a lot of these guys over the years so hes got a pretty good idea of what they do." The Blue Jays entered Wednesdays action with a record of 16-17 following a 4-4 road trip to Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Like on their previous road trip, they left some games on the table due to poor, late-game pitching. Bautista isnt panicking, however, because the American League East remains tight six weeks into the season. Torontos just a game and a half back of first-place Baltimore. "The only thing that would matter if we were 15 games back," said Bautista. "That would mean wed dug ourselves a big hole to come out of. From that perspective it doesnt really matter. What matters is how we play from here on out and weve got to focus on that."
